Silverstone 10k (06-05-15)

On Wednesday evening 8 of our members made the short journey to Silversone for the first race in the East Midlands Grand Prix series for 2015.

It was extreemly wet and windy conditions for running made even harder by the exposed car racing circuit but that didn’t affect some fantastic performances.

For Ananda Conroy, Kieran Condon and Jessica Dixey it was their debut over the distance and in fact the furthest they have ever raced. All did very well finishing in good time.

There were big PB performances from Dan Gosling, Adam Ferguson and Julie Currington & Jim Conroy recorded his first outing over the distance since 1998.

Also crossing the finish line not far off her PB was Vicki Barker, an excellent run considering she completed her first marathon just 3 days previously.
